News & Notes

  • Beginning today the American Soccer Show goes to twice a week. Today’s show will feature a recap of US-Spain and a conversation with Duane Rollins about TFC and the Canadian National Team. In the upcoming weeks while qualifying for the national team begins, the American Soccer Show is going to be more US National Team oriented so I recommend that everyone listen each and every week to Around the League with Peter Brown and Graham Bell for the most in depth coverage of MLS. As has been the case the last several shows, when the news from the national team level is prevalent, our time to discuss MLS on the show is minimal.
  • Michael James the editor and publisher of the English Soccer Talk website interviewed me yesterday about the National Team. Check out the interview here.

I should add good of you to add the soccer blog from the Chicago Tribune on your blogroll. The Chicago Tribune has been increasing it’s soccer coverage by leaps and bounds over the last few years. If anyone has not visited it you will find it enjoyable and informative on the local soccer news and more.
