If you live in the United States and you want to watch Manchester United lift the Premier League trophy this Sunday, you better wish you have Setanta Sports.

That’s because Setanta has scored another coup in the United States when it’ll show Wigan Athletic and Manchester United (10am ET). If the Red Devils win, the club will lift the Premier League trophy on Setanta Sports, not Fox Soccer Channel.

Fox Soccer Channel, which for so long was the destination for Premier League soccer coverage in the States, is playing second fiddle again and will be showing the Chelsea against Bolton match. If you’re an executive at Fox, you have to be sending positive vibes to Steve Bruce’s side hoping that Wigan can beat or draw Man United. If so, and Chelsea win, then the Prenier League trophy will be hoisted by Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

While Chelsea and Man United battle it out at the top of the table, the relegation dogfight at the foot of the table features Bolton, Reading, Birmingham and Fulham. Two of those four teams will join Derby in the Championship next season. Setanta Sports again has the pick of the best with Fulham against Portsmouth being shown on delay at Noon ET live on Setanta Xtra at 10am as well as on delay at Noon ET on its regular channel, while Birmingham against Blackburn will be shown on the same channel at 1:45pm ET. Later that day, West Ham against Aston Villa will be available at 3:30pm ET and, lastly, Derby against Reading will be televised at 11pm ET.

Fox Soccer Channel, meanwhile, will also show Tottenham Hotspur against Liverpool at Noon ET and Everton vs. Newcastle United at 2pm ET.

Without a doubt, Sunday is a perfect example of how Setanta Sports has overtaken Fox Soccer Channel in providing the majority of the most important Premier League matches for TV viewers in the United States.

Regarding the coverage from Setanta Sports, what’s surprising is that Setanta Xtra won’t be used to show matches. At least that’s what their schedule on their website shows. EPL Talk is confirming with Setanta Sports if this is correct and to find out the reason why. Setanta Xtra will show Portsmouth against Fulham at 10am ET.

The only way in the United States to watch Wigan against Man United is on Setanta Sports, which is available via DirecTV, DISH Network, Setanta Broadband and select pubs throughout North America. The match will not be televised on PPV.
