Liverpool today unveiled their new home kit for the 2008/2009 season. Manufactured by Adidas, the red design harkens back to a more classic Adidas look-and-feel (see below).


One of the most unique features of the new home shirt is that the inner neck of the shirt features a red checkered area, which is inspired by the flags of The Kop. It also features the inscription “This Is Anfield,” made famous by the famous Liverpool sign in the player’s tunnel at Anfield. See close-up picture here:
