Pleasant Distractions

Since this site focuses exclusively on the Premier League, it’s pretty rare that we discuss other leagues unless it’s in comparison to the Premiership. However, I want to take this opportunity to plug three things you should definitely read and listen to, which I thoroughly recommend.

The first is the latest episode of the Major League Soccer Talk Podcast, which features a special retrospective on Miami Fusion, the former MLS team that played in South Florida from the late 90s until the early 2000′s.

Host Kartik Krishnaiyer has done a fabulous job interviewing former players and a key journalist to delve into the highs and lows of supporting the Fusion, which starred such players as Ian Bishop (Manchester City and West Ham), Preki (Everton), Ian Woan (Nottingham Forest) and others.

Listen to the podcast episode via iTunes or download directly here.

Over on our sister sites La Liga Talk and Serie A Talk, new contributor Kevin Walker has been busy keeping you updated on the latest news from the Spanish and Italian leagues. Check them out.
