Fire Still Short of Playoffs

Chicago had a golden opportunity to essentially clinch an MLS Playoff birth today. Kansas City lost to New York, but the Fire were unable to take advantage of superior possession and several good goal scoring opportunities to break down DC United at RFK Stadium. Chicago continues to draw matches they should have won, and instead of being securely in the playoffs the Fire will go into next weekend’s massive game at Toyota Park versus the LA Galaxy needing a result.
