• The Times of London is reporting that Sunil Gulati and Bob Bradley met with Fabio Capello, the ex-Real Madrid and Juventus Manager in London. The fact that Bradley was at the meeting so clearly his job is not under threat. It must be assumed that the Federation is either talking to Capello about being a consultant to US Soccer ala the old role Carlos Queiroz held, or perhaps a new role technical director.
  • Steven Goff of the Washington Post is reporting that Alexi Lalas is “in grave danger” of being fired by the Galaxy if they do not win the Superliga final on Wednesday. This parallels the rumors flying around various radio shows and soccer circles that Jurgen Klinsmann has been seen hanging around the Home Depot Center is recent days. That would also likely mean that Frank Yallop’s job is in serious jeopardy.
