Dave Sarachan, a longtime associate of Bruce Arena with DC United and the National Team was fired today as Head Coach of the Chicago Fire. Chicago entered the season with high hopes and began the campaign an undefeated run of five matches but has one just once in the past seven. The Fire at this point (despite the table) appear to be the worst team in the Eastern Conference. For a franchise accustomed to winning, with a trophy shelf bigger than any other club in MLS except for DC United, this sort of season is clearly unacceptable.
