The Argentine international midfielder might decide to stay beyond his projected loan window.

According to El Mediterraneo of Castellón, the exiled Villarreal star looks to be drawing his European adventure to a close. Sources have stated that the star’s house in Castellón is up for sale for an estimated €900,000.

“I have my house there, and I have to give thanks to Villarreal as they helped me obtain the recognition I did internationally. This is why if I don’t play for Villarreal, I will not play for any other team in Europe,” said Riquelme just last week about his status with the club.

This has alarmed the Yellow Submarine brass, who have the playmaker on loan to Boca Juniors until the end of June. Riquelme arrived at his former club at the beginning of February as his playing was reduced drastically after having a falling out with coach Manuel Pellegrini. Pellegrini in an interview last month stated that his attitude allegedly became “diva-like” by refusing to play if the balls weren’t inflated to his liking, and using the bringing his family along on the team bus.
