Totenham 0-2 Everton

Tim Howard posted a clean sheet as Everton won its first match at White Hart Lance since 1985.

Watford 1-2 Man United

Jay DeMerit played a full 90 minutes as Watford fell short in an upset bid versus Manchester United.

Wigan 1-0 Reading

Bobby Convey started but was subbed out in the 63rd minute and Marcus Hannehman played the full match for Reading who were defeated.

Man City 1-0 Arsenal

Claudio Reyna was benched prior to match versus Arsenal and did not play in Man City’s first win of the young campaign.

Blackburn 0-2 Chelsea

Brad Friedel almost stopped a penalty but got little support as Rovers went down 2-0 to the defending EPL champs.

Fulham 1-0 Sheffield United

Brian McBride helped set up the winning goal with a nice flick on pass. Carlos Bocanegra did not play.
