Goals of the Season

soccerBall Goals of the SeasonWatching the excellent EPL Review Show on Fox Soccer Channel, I had to wonder when was the last Premiership weekend when there were so many spectacular goals worthy of “goal of the season” contention?

This past weekend had four contenders. First, there was Henri Camara’s stunning volley for Wigan against Sunderland. Second, what about McFadden’s goal for Everton versus Fulham, or William Gallas’s long range bullet for Chelsea versus Spurs? And Sergio Mendes’s second goal for Portsmouth against Man City?

Despite Chelsea running away with the title, the climax of the season begins to build as there are still so much up for grabs. May 7th, the final day of the season, beckons.
